Den and Sidney 1965 Looking like actors from the film 'Brighton Rock', Den and Sidney Mott in Southend sometime in the sixties, I'm guessing at '65. Sidney is the very same who Den wrote of in the song 'Boy With The Edge', although his ears don't look taxi-like to me here. No idea about the monkeys, I don't remember Den mentioning ever owning one… [P] Probably the owner of the monkeys…
Den's passport picture 1975 No wonder he wasn't allowed out of the country :) I'm guessing at the year [P] Photo booth!
You ain't seen nuthin yet 1976 Den the seventies DJ. Classic… [P] Unknown
Eli Den and Tony 1988 Eli was a long standing and close friend of Den's - he was originally playing bass for Slap and Tickle and got Den in to bottle - Eli subsequently left (actually he flattened Gordon first) and left Den to pick it up for himself. Initially Den used a rhythm stick (broomstick with hundreds of bottle tops nailed to it) but eventually decided to try a skiffle style tea chest bass. Eli later roadied for the band for a while and was always a VIP within the family [P] Keady Green
New York 1988 The whole crew on our first trip over to the States, outside Madison Square Gardens I think - with Tony's Dad at back and Iron Mike, who did like to cuss [P] Unknown
Are we there yet? 1989 The endless excitement of life on the road. [P] Anne O'Dair
Jo and Emer 1990 Top bottlers, essential members of the group, and great singers both. Going through a very spiky phase at this point too… [P] Jenny Green Chan
How things change 1990 A good friend of ours, Matt Tilley, writing out the set lists backstage at The Powerhaus. He helped out no end over the years, but despite that he managed to build a very successful career in the industry… [P] Unknown :)
